You type an address and confirm the pin on the door. Tos, our research pipeline, studies the 800 m around it: it searches the web for each topic, writes a document per score, and computes each score from weighted sub-scores. The result is 97 scores in 23 groups plus a livability score.

No. Reports are produced by an AI over public web sources. Counts of places, distances and walking or driving minutes are estimates ("about 8 min", "estimated"); the web sources behind a report can be incomplete or out of date. Use a report to know what to look at, then verify what matters to you.

Because we do not copy them from anywhere and we do not want to invent them. The app shows names, addresses, hours when found, and estimated minutes; never a star score.

The overview is free: the livability score, the 23 group scores and the "good for" lenses, up to three overviews a day. Reading the scores inside a group costs coins: 10 coins unlock a group and up to three of its scores; a second unlock adds up to three more. "Everything for this address" unlocks all 97 scores for 175 coins minus what you already paid on that address.

10 coins are a welcome gift the first time you open the app. Coin packs (10, 30, 60, 100) are sold in the coin store through the app store. A rewarded video earns +1 coin, up to three a day, and only when you tap "Watch a video". Coins belong to your account, not your phone, and never expire.

Usually a few minutes for a group unlock; up to fifteen for everything at once. You can close the app: we send a notification when Tos is back. When research capacity is used up for the day, your unlock is queued and you are notified when it starts.

They come back automatically. If every score you picked failed, the unlock is refunded in full; you can try again later.

Open the coin store and tap "Sync purchases". Coins are credited by our server after the store confirms the purchase, normally within seconds; if they still do not appear, write to us with the store receipt. A purchase is never credited twice.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies (Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com; Google Play: order history). If a refunded pack's coins were already spent, the refunded coins are removed from your balance; if the balance is not enough, the difference becomes a refund debt that new coins clear first.

The coin is credited only after the ad network confirms the view to our server, usually within seconds, sometimes half a minute. If the session expires before that, start a new video. Three videos a day is the limit.

Free coins, rewarded videos and free overviews need a device that Apple or Google can verify: an iPhone or iPad, or an Android phone with the app installed from Google Play. The app checks this by itself right after you open it, usually within seconds. Rooted, emulated or modified devices cannot be verified; on them you can still buy coins and use everything you unlock. If your device is genuine, check your connection and open the app again.

The app is available in 14 languages: English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified), Indonesian, Hindi and Arabic. It follows your device language; you can change it under Profile → Settings → Language. Reports are shown in the language you choose.

Because it does not need it. TownSpec works only from the addresses you type. The pin you confirm on the map is the location that is saved.

Up to five at a time. Unlocked scores stay with the address they were unlocked on; removing an address removes its unlocks without refund.

Profile → Delete account → confirm. The account closes at once and the app continues on this device with a new, empty account; after 30 days the account and its data are permanently erased. Details and the e-mail fallback: Delete your account.

No. There is no sign-in: TownSpec creates your account on the phone where you first open it. Your coins, unlocked reports and saved addresses stay on that phone, also when you reinstall the app, but they do not move to a new phone and cannot be recovered after a device reset.

Write to us with your device model, the app version and what you were doing. Crash reports (without personal data) reach us automatically and help us fix problems quickly.
